2005 MLB Playoffs Thread

Yeah, so VEL mentioned there should be a separate thread...so I guess the other one can be unstickyed now that the season is through, plus it'll be easier to sort playoff thoughts and whatnot in here.

Eh, I guess I'll get this started by reposting my preditctions from the other thread

LDS
-San Diego Padres @ St. Louis Cardinals (Cards should take this one EASILY because the Padres suck)
-Houston Astros @ Atlanta Braves (Awesome pitching vs. about 15 rookies in the pressure of the playoffs....I like the Stros here)
-New York Yankees @ Anaheim Angels (Definately the hardest 1st round series to predict, IMO....but I'll go with the Yanks)
-Boston Red Sox @ Chicago White Sox (Red Sox will probably pull through here)

LCS (ie: 2004 rehash)
-Houston Astros @ St. Louis Cardinals (Cards)
-Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees (After last year, this is too hard to predict...but it doesn't matter because I think..)

WS
-St. Louis Cardinals @ Whoever (Cards)

I hope I'm wrong about another Yanks/Sox ALCS....but I can unfortunately see it happening

I'd love to see the Pads pull a 1973 Mets and make it to the WS with such a bad record in comparison to the other teams, but that's more than unlikely
