This is absolutely ridiculous beyond all sense of reason.

Are you honestly telling me that a major league catcher would rather "fake" the catch, and roll the ball to the mound,risking that the ump call his bluff, rather than simply reaching over two feet and tagging the batter? There is no way. Josh Paul would have to be the dumbest person in the world.

If a catcher traps the ball, he's going to tag the runner 100 times out of 100, not try to "bluff" it and hope nobody calls him on it. I couldn't care less what your credentials are, that simply doesn't make sense.
