Do the Spirit Squad really deserve the push they're getting?

I'd like to start this and say that, while I HATE them, I can understand why some people can get a kick out of them.

However, they have main evented or have had a main event segment for more than half of the past 5 months of RAWs, they are the tag champs and are probably main eventing Vengeance. Why, may I ask, are these men the center of RAW?

Sure, they may be entertaining to some, and sure, they're some good talents, but in now way do they deserve as much of a push as they are getting. I would have left them in the upper-mid card at best, with the same gimmick, minus McMahon. Not getting WWE title shots and wrestling Triple H and Shawn Michaels every week.

I do understand that they tie into the McMahons' angle, but shit, they couldn't come up with some guys with better gimmicks than "random annoying cheerleading cunts"?

So, I ask you, why are these men one of the bigger focuses of the RAW brand?
