(Un)Official ZSNES tournament proposal thread

K as this was touched on in the NHL tourney thread I thought it'd be best to throw the idea out there and see if there's any genuine interest in doing this.

The way I figure it, it'd be best to have it as sort of a league, with points being awarded for wins over other players, since there's obviously more than one game that could be used and it would suck to have a tournament where odds are you'd probably be eliminated in a round using a game you might not be good at, only for a game you are good at to be used later.

...everyone still following?

These are the games off the top of my head we could use:

ISS Deluxe
Mario Kart
Super Streetfighter II
Super Tennis
Turtles Tournament Fighters
Mortal Kombat (3?)
NBA Jam

Obviously it'd be nice to have a good variety and not just a ton of beat-em-ups, so if anyone's got some more suggestions please include them.

Sooooooooooooooo...good idea, bad idea? Thoughts, comments?
