I don't get what the big deal is with advertisements in gaming

I don't get why people get so worked up about advertisments in games. Personally, I like that they are in there. I remember way back in the 90's when I got the new FIFA game, and saw there were snickers and pioneer ads in the stadium. I remember thinking "holy crap, they have ads for real products, just like real stadiums. Super duper!"

Its more realistic to have real ads in the game. Especially in a city enviornment. "But fignu- uh, I mean U-warrior, there's so much!"

Well, no shit numbnuts, its a city. Take a look at any city or stadium. Advertising everywhere.

I mean, if I'm playing oblivion, and there is a pepsi machine outside ye olde weapon shop, then yeah, thats ridiculous. But if there is a pepsi ad in an enviornment where there would be a pepsi ad in real life, Then I think thats awesome, and it immerses me more into the game's world.
