Lots of mad hot albums this year

I was thinking about this earlier and there has been quite an influx of hot albums here in 2008. I have posted a few threads about some of them but here is a brief synopsis of stuff I think you should check out if you haven't.

The Kills - Midnight Boom
This is probably my favorite album of the year, so far. So fucking good. I've said it's Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets Sonic Youth meets White Stripes. I want to plow the singer with my dick right now too.

Tokyo Police Club - Elephant Shell
Finally an LP release by Tokyo Police Club. The songs are still really short, but they're not as "punchy" I guess could be the word as their older stuff. Modest Mouse meets Saves The Day (Stay What You Are-era)... the singer now reminds me of the guy from The Decemberists.

Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, Paint That Shit Gold
ABT made a thread about this album. It's really good. A lot different than Atmosphere's other stuff. There's more of a rock influence.

Titus Andronicus - The Airing of Grivences
Atmospheric punk rock here. Fans of Interpol should enjoy this.

Jonny Greenwood - There Will Be Blood OST
Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead's score for the film of the same name. Obviously gonna be good.

Los Campesinos - Hold On Now, Youngster
For fans of Broken Social Scene and The Arcade Fire.

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - Eleventh Hour
RoXer posted a thread about it. More of the same awesomeness from Del.

Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs
I haven't listened to this yet but I'm sure it is worthy of mention.

Weezer - The Red Album
See above.

Also, Glassjaw is FINALLY releasing a new album late in the year.

Feel free to add your own suggestions and shit you have enjoyed.
