I'm not telling you to get over it, but life isn't fair. You're right. Orton got a huge rub from an icon, a legend in the making, and a hairless ape. After that you can't just put the Euro title on him and make him feud with Shannon Moore over spilt milk, because there is no Euro title. Orton was headed places the moment he walked to the ring with Triple H and Ric Flair, though the lack of crowd reaction for most of that run was ignored.
Being the son and grandson of a wrestler helped him get his foot in the door to be the youngest world champion in WWE history, though the Brock Lesnar's departure did help. Orton not being overrate is like George W. Bush's new son-in-law working for an oil company. No chance in hell he was gonna serve his term in the Army.
Orton was given so much, worked for very little, and should get all the credit along with all the bags he shit in.
