But they can update gimmicks with DLC. As most expect them to do with Kendrick. How often do they add match types anyway? We've had a twist on Buried Alive and now an Inferno Match in, what, the last 4 or 5 years? The latter of which has been used 4 times on TV.

Well they ain't giving DLC for free are they? They'll probably make a fair amount out of DLC, especially if it's quality they're providing.
End of the day, there are people that won't buy the game every year as they see the game making little progress year on year - or in last years' case taking backwards steps.
