It's not as if the gameplay comes on leaps and bounds every year. Yeah we have a new tag dynamic this year. Two years ago we had the Ultimate Control moves. What did we get inbetween?

I don't for a second think that THQ will skip a year, of course they won't and for the reasons you have put forward.

I just think it could be interestung if they were to do so. I mean they pretty much start the next game off the back of th ecurrent release. Surely the game would be further improved with 2 years worth of development time (although there would likely be even more problems with rosters, gimmicks, costumes being kept up to date).

A 'leap and bound' movement that gave us a fairly cool concept on submission for about 10 moves, but made every other submission move useless.

It was their 'new and improved' hyped gameplay last year along with the abilities aspect, regardless if you liked it. That was their big selling point much like what the tag team aspect is this year.
