Vince Comments on (Censored Name)

From PWInsider:

Thanks to Leon Peters for the following. ... I just picked up the new special edition magazine called "The Untold History Of The WWE" that WWE put out (the actual release date for it is September 15th). It's a timeline style magazine with all of the important events in WWE history. However it only begins with 1982 when Vince bought Capitol Wrestling. Nothing prior to that is mentioned. The magazine is broken up into 6 chapters, "The 80's Boom(1982-1985)", "The Dawn Of WrestleMania(1985-1990)", "The New Generation(1990-1996)", "The Attitude Era(1996-2001)", "The Postwar Era(2001-2005)" and "The Modern Era(2005-present)".

There's an interview with Vince at the beginning of each section and he makes some interesting comments. One of the last questions he is asked is "What about the Chris Benoit tragedy? We're two years removed - will there ever be a time when we can acknowledge him as part of WWE history?" Vince's response: "It's not right to pretend he didn't exist. It's one thing to include him as part of a historical perspective, which I believe is OK, and it's another thing to promote him, which is not OK. The situation is very similar to that of O.J. Simpson - despite his controversy, O.J. was still a part of the NFL scene. You can't deny that he existed."

It's a very cool magazine with Vince commenting on each "Era" of the company. There's way too much to recap, but the Benoit question I found interesting.
