One more "What if" question (I dont think anymore made this a topic)

I'm sure this has been mentioned here and there, but I don't think theres actually been a post devoted to this question. (Who's gonna be the first to tell me STOP LIVING IN THE PAST!) This was Bret Hart's last wrestling match before he retired and after this is when WCW went seriously downhill. Let's say Bret Hart adressed his Starrcade injury when he recieved it and was able to recover and keep wrestling. Do you think it would have helped WCW in any way? Bret was booked extremely poorly when he first got to WCW but he was finally getting the push he deserved. The product wasn't extremely horrible at this point (the ratings were still pretty good) and we could have finally gotten to see a properly booked and promoted Bret Hart Vs Hogan match in 2000.
