They're promoting a new CD, and they can't sell the Generic Hardyz theme, so they had to change it so they could put "Jeff's Theme" on the disc.

Wasn't that the same reason Booker T recorded that "Can You Dig It" song and used it for like a month?

Yeah, and there were several other examples. Though to be honest, I'm surprised some of them stuck.
