Wow, this was a bit of a surprise. I like Tazz and all, but I am more interested to see what the WWE does with the commentary teams than upset Tazz is leaving. After all, it appears to be his choice.
JBL should definitely return to the booth, but I don't want to see JBL and JR as a tandem. That'd be way too redneck for my tastes. JBL should work with Michael Cole again. Give those two RAW to play with. Cole was much better with JBL than Jerry Lawler. I actually think the WWE will put JR with King again, but I'd rather see Matt Striker move up to replace Tazz, as they would make a really good team. With WWE Superstars making a comeback, there are pretty much eight conventional slots for commentary. Right now the WWE has got Michael Cole, Jim Ross and Todd Grisham as play-by-play guys, which leaves the window open for one to get called up, whereas Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker are their color guys, which leaves room for two. |
