Is Fallout 3 really THAT good?

As for the Halo games, they will be basically the same though you are playing through different parts of the story of Halo not just what feels like Halo 3, with a few new things added.
1) you can swim in GTA4

2) Fallout 3 really is THAT good

3) did you even read any posts? Thats my whole point...the Halo games dont deviate from gameplay much, only storyline. The core mechanics remain the same. The same is said for Fallout/Oblivion, GTA/RDR, etc etc.
