Always thought he was overated to be honest.

Wrestled on a show with him about five years ago, and he trained with us the day before, and he was just a complete waste. The promoter paid him a ridiculous amount (something like 700 pounds plus accomodation), when all he did was a QUICK match, IE two punches, DDT, the end, and then waffled on for about 20 minutes about how he loves the industry etc.

Dunno really, never really cared about him before that, and this didn't exactly change my opinion of him.

If he really "loved the industry", he wouldn't have thrown his career away because of the booze and drugs.

Yeah exactly. And he loves it so much that he charges ricockulous amounts for each appearance, and there are actually promoters dumb enough to go along with it.

(For the record, the show I referred to in my post didn't have a bigger crowd than any other show. Roberts is one hell of a draw)
