The dude is about 6'9" and she is 5'5" so I'm guessing the sword is almost 65 inches long and the guard and hilt were probably made to fit his huge hands so it's bigger than normal. Swords back then were probably between 45 to 50 something inches long.

Really? If you think I was saying "back then" as a reference to Game of Thrones being non-fiction then you are mistaken. I guess swords don't exist in real life. The influence of swords in almost every show or movie must be pure imagination. GoT is obviously influenced heavily by Medieval times of which I was referring to when I said "back then".
