How was the Test/Steph angle SUPPOSED to end? The story almost made Test. The way it ended killed his character.

This one isn't actually Russo's fault. He was gone nearly 2 months by the time the storyline hit its climax. Basically, Test was a Russo guy, and Vince didn't see him as top guy, so HHH got all the heat and Test jobbed on Sunday Night Heat a few weeks later before the Armeggedon PPV rather than be involved in the storyline that he was a focal point of. I'm sure that in Russo world, a Test heel turn was imminent, followed by a feud with Vince. Think Test and Stephanie as the heel power couple.

I remember hearing a story that said Test would try get with Linda instead of Steph near the end of storyline
