Though I'm not a fan of Del Rio it's a shame that these guys (Rhodes, Ryback) are leaving at a time when WWE are starting to improve how they use their guys.

Eh. Depends on which guys.

The ones you named, and people like Ziggler and Slater are just floundering. The newer NXT guys, as in, ones who debuted on the main roster in like the last year at most, are being utilized better (for the most part), but you still have shit like Vaudevillians being lost in the shuffle or having Rusev beat Swagger, Ryder, and Mark Henry in rotation.

Once again, instead of having guys who should have been in credible veteran positions by now, like a Del Rio or Cody Rhodes, they keep jamming these folks in midcard hell and job them out to where fans don't give a fuck, because something newer and exciting made noise over that way somewhere.

And even though they're improving on using new people better, they still have problems. For example, Enzo and Cass are going to be in danger of getting stale pretty quick, because of overexposure of the same thing. Baron Corbin just comes out to be tall. Braun now has the Ryback squash match gimmick.

Yes, Owens and Balor are poised as main event level guys now, but it wouldn't seem so shoehorned if there were actual progression and letting fans take the journey.

There is no reason Alberto Of The River shouldn't be a top-tier heel in the company right now, especially after a) the issues surrounding his initial departure and b) the fact they brought him back. Seems like it was another one of those moves to keep him from making noise for another company more than actually thinking he has value for WWE.
