The Giants bid goodbye to eight free-agent players Sunday, including shortstop Rich Aurilia, a hot property this offseason who had been with San Francisco since 1995.
The club also declined to offer arbitration to reliever Tim Worrell, catcher Benito Santiago, pitcher Sidney Ponson, outfielders Marvin Benard and Jose Cruz Jr., first baseman Andres Galarraga and second baseman Eric Young.
