Hate to see him go but he definitely will do better away from WWE in a character standpoint. Money wise he might not make as much but being one of the few stars WWE has created he should be able to get a good amount of money. Doesn't seem like he is real high on working Japan so I doubt he would sign with NJPW or ROH. Thought he had a bit of a falling out with Lucha Underground but they seem to be having financial problems so I don't know if they'd be able to afford him. Just doesn't feel like a guy that would go to TNA but if Billy Ckrgan got some money together I wouldn't be surprised if he made a play for him.

That's a shame Del Rio was always good no matter who WWE did with him.

Kind of telling how bad things were if the WWE didn't even offer the "future endeavors" line for the release.

His value might take a hit because of how poorly the WWE used him but if its like last time, shouldn't take long for him to make the big bucks again.

Before the recent deal with the WWE, Lucha Underground were offering around the same amount albeit with less guaranteed and merch sales percentages.
