Love Lock Jaw's reviews. Would love to see what he has in store for reviewing the PPVs.

Homicide appears and hits Rey with a lead pipe before their match begins. Rey Mysterio then possibly wins that match. The writing is kind of confusing here and make it sound like Mysterio got hit by a 619 and a West Coast Pop. So either Homicide is mocking Rey, or it was supposed to come across as Homicide being on the receiving end of these moves.
Definitely can see this being vague. Sorry about that. Homicide got the win using Rey's moves. He was just being a dick, basically.

Well, how about this. The game goes three seasons. One season you're a judge, the next you're a booker and third you're the Network Administrator?

I think it should all be left to "fate" again.

Wanna book? Throw your name into the hat and see if it gets drawn. Same with judging. Only I'd give the first slots to people that didn't get to figure in this season (i.e. if 10 new judges emerge, a Season 1 judge doesn't go in the hat).

If AbT gets pulled as a booker, hand the reigns over to someone that hasn't figured in anywhere else (as judge/booker). I don't think anyone should be guaranteed a slot - except maybe the Season 1 Winner.

That's just my 2 cents.

I'm off on vacation in a few hours, fingers crossed I get enough time when I get back so that my PPV isn't a "rush job".

Alright, been working on this for the past few days, and here it is:

Lock Jaw Presents: The PPV Buzz

SCW Presents: WrestleFest

SPOILER: show
SCW has been a solid show, but with only four announced matches, will they draw in the buyers?

Abyss vs. Kane

Everyone loves "Monster vs Monster" battles. We got a small taste in the battle royale during week 2, and since then they have been at each other's throats! Kane made it known that he despises Abyss' need to hide behind a mask, and Abyss has found himself brawling with Kane week after week!

No doubt this will be a heated contest! But one has to wonder why this match, between two brawling monsters, was not made No Disqualification rather than the world title match between two technical wrestlers later on.

THE ANTICIPATION: 7/10. There could have been more anticipation if more buildup was given to the whole mask issue, but in this last week going into the PPV it was not even mentioned.

Edge vs. Curt Hawkins w/Vance Archer

Edge has found himself on the receiving end of multiple beat downs from his former protege. However, even with picking up a victory going into the PPV, Hawkins doesn't have much steam heading into the PPV, nor does Archer. It has been demonstrated already that Edge has their number when it is not a sneak attack or a two on one beating. He has taken out Vance Archer twice, and going into the PPV has already exacted a measure of revenge against Hawkins with a Spear. So not only do Hawkins and Archer not come across as threatening opponents, but we are also not waiting to see Edge get his hands on Hawkins since he has already done so.

THE ANTICIPATION: 4/10. Will probably be the "piss break" of the matches announced so far. Even if Hawkins/Archer weren't made more threatening, the very least that could have been done would be keeping Edge/Hawkins separated in anticipation of the PPV. Could have been at least 5 or 6 if not for that spear on week 4.

Tag Team Titles - Ladder Match
The Hardy Boyz vs The Young Buckz

The Young Bucks have been impressive during their run in SCW, and already hold a win over the Hardyz in the Round Robin to qualify for this match. This time around though, it is a ladder match! As for the Hardyz, they are always a commodity, especially if ladders are involved. There is also the issue of some tension between Matt/Jeff. Despite this though, they have picked up several wins and qualified for this match. You have all the right parts in this match. Ladders. Titles. High Flyers. An up and coming young team. A veteran team. Possibility for side drama.

THE ANTICIPATION: 10/10.

World Heavyweight Championship - No Disqualification
Kurt Angle vs. Jack Swagger

A match that on paper could have had huge potential, but yet has not lived up to it. From week 1, CM Punk has been treated as SCW's number one heel, but also on week 1 Kurt Angle made him submit cleanly. So instead we got Jack Swagger in the main event, who feels as if he has not been built up at all, especially compared to Punk. Angle himself, aside from being Kurt Angle, hasn't really done much outside of winning matches and encounters to be built up himself. There could have been some magnificent promos/segments building up Kurt/Swagger, but most of their interactions seemed to have come in brawls/attacks by Swagger. CM Punk seems to have more invested into him than either of these individuals, and indeed, the match has been made No-DQ just so he can get involved (probably).

THE ANTICIPATION: 7/10. Had the potential to be much more.

Matches to be Announced

The SCW Booker has promised more matches will take place at the PPV, but with no announcements or build-up, it will really have no positive effect on the buyrate, but mayhaps have a negative one?

THE ANTICIPATION: 2/10. Can't really have any.

THE VERDICT: Using a complex mathematical formula looking at the numbers above, as well as the ratings for each week...Lock Jaw decrees... SCW will go into the PPV with at least a 0.79 buyrate.

LAW Presents: Inception

SPOILER: show
Automatically gets 5000 additional buys from people who think they are seeing the Chris Nolan movie. SMART BOOKING.

Nah, just kidding. Let's get to it.

"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero vs. Matt Morgan

This match kinda crept up outta nowhere. For the first two weeks of LAW, Morgan seemed to be involved with the Hart Dynasty. Then the third week he "snapped" or something. D'Angelo Dinero actually looked impressive the first week of LAW, stepping into the face of Wade Barrett, making it known that he wanted the world title as well. He then wasn't even on week two, and week three he was beat up by Matt Morgan. Week four this match is born, because apparently Pope and Morgan were good buddies.

THE ANTICIPATION: 4/10. Like I said, really thrown together. Even with the backstory that they were good buddies.

Eli Cottonwood w/Velvet Skye vs. Zack Ryder

Eli Cottonwood was given a new gimmick in LAW (or maybe an old one from developmental, I don't know) where he thinks he is ridiculously good looking and Velvet Skye is ugly. This has lead to a comedy angle with Zack Ryder. He has already faced Ryder and lost to him during week 2. Over the weeks he has grown more disgusted by Ryder's ugliness. So after finding Ryder stripping Velvet, the two are set to meet once again at the PPV.

THE ANTICIPATION: 2/10. Not a big fan of comedy matches on the PPV, piss break.

The Hart Dynasty vs. ????

The Hart Dynasty have been impressive, even holding a pinfall win on John Cena (sure, only after Jericho turned on him, but still). Aside from that, they haven't really had any real challenges, and so have issued an open one. They've been built solidly, and anytime you add a mystery opponent automatically creates some interest.

THE ANTICIPATION: 7/10

Streetfight
The Big Show vs "The Assassin" Michael Tarver

Michael Tarver has turned a new leaf in LAW and has a new gimmick, and possibly a new hat. He is a man for hire, and in his second week he took out The Big Show. An impressive feat that automatically puts him on the map. Big Show returned week 4 with a vengeance. They were kept apart, though, and Show has to wait for the PPV to get his hands on Tarver. There is also the unresolved matter of who exactly hired Tarver to take out Big Show. Information that Show possibly hopes to beat out of Tarver at the PPV!

THE ANTICIPATION: 8/10

World Heavyweight Title Tournament
John Cena
Chris Jericho
Wade Barrett
Desmond Wolfe

A mini-tournament will see the crowning of a new champ. John Cena has not been a happy camper in LAW. He went on a rampage in week 1, had more trouble then he felt he should have with Desmond Wolfe in week 2, and then has been on a losing streak courtesy of Chris Jericho. Jericho has been his usual sneaky "best at what I do" self, and may even have the mysterious BOSS on his side. Barrett has been no slouch either, and has been booked as dominant and has gotten the upper-hand on his tournament foes at least once. Wolfe has been the dark card since week 1, and is out to prove himself. He ran the gauntlet to qualify in week 3 and took back a win from Cena (again, with Jericho's help). He's probably not going to advance in the tournament, but he is a solid person to watch.

THE ANTICIPATION: 10/10. It will most likely come down to Jericho/Cena, and after all the weeks of Jericho costing Cena victory after victory, and Jericho's mysterious alliance with THE BOSS, this is what people want to see.

THE VERDICT: LAW will go into the PPV with at least a 0.39 buyrate.

VCW Presents: Revelation

SPOILER: show
The fan favorite of many, let us see how it does!

Eric Young vs. Suicide

A spin-off of the International Championship Chase matches, Eric Young has made it known that he wants Suicide to reveal who he is to the world. After protecting his mask vehemently, Suicide intentionally let himself get counted out in a match for it, and now promises to take it off win, lose, or draw at the PPV. So I guess he didn't really care about it at all. Unless he is gonna do one of those mask under a mask deals, which will just make people feel like they got ripped off. Regardless, the whole heat of the possible unmasking is gone now, and it is just a regular match.

THE ANTICIPATION: 5/10. Right down the middle. Without the heat of the mask thing, it promises nothing more than to be a decent match.

Tag Team Championships
The Deadly Dudleys vs. The Usos

A match that we have seen several times, and The Dudleys have dominated the Usos three weeks out of four. This last week, The Usos did finally manage to get the upper hand, but at this point it really just feels like a final moment of "false hope" to get people to buy the PPV. Unfortunately, I see people just not being interested.

THE ANTICIPATION: 1/10

Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust

Two half-brothers going at it. One Dashing. One Golden and in a Wig. This match certainly has a lot of steam going into it. Cody has a proven mean streak in him, while Goldust wanted nothing to do with it at first.

THE ANTICIPATION: 8/10

International Championship - Ladder Match
Kaval vs. R-Truth

At last, after all of the weird TNA gimmick matches, the finals are here. In a straight-forward ladder match. Kaval and R-Truth. With having so many matches dedicated to crowning this champion, its hard not to be looking forward to it, even if you don't care for R-Truth at all.

THE ANTICIPATION: 7/10

Triple H vs. ????

Triple H has been plagued by mysterious messages that have cost him several matches. He is losing his mind. Going on rampages and such. Finally he has vowed to go out to the ring and get to the bottom of this fiasco. Its really a mixed bag whether waiting to the PPV to reveal his tormentor will make people buy it, or turn them away. Regardless, if they don't buy it, it will probably be one of the first things they check online.

THE ANTICIPATION: 9/10

Unsanctioned Sanctioned Match
Joe Perfect vs. Hulk Hogan

This match, sanctioned to be unsanctioned by Michael Cole, sees Joe Perfect taking on The Immortal One. Casual fans always love seeing Hulk Hogan wrestle, even if he can't move anymore! Joe Perfect has also been really getting into this new persona (or really, his dad's persona) as well.

THE ANTICIPATION: 8/10

World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton vs. Mr Anderson Anderson

Randy Orton, apparently the heel, goes up against rival Anderson, apparently the face. Personally, neither has been really solidified in their face/heel roles for me. The only time it really came across was this last week. Despite these blurred lines, it has been a well built feud.

THE ANTICIPATION: 9/10. Would be 10/10 if Triple H didn't pretty much beat Anderson (if not for the interference of the messages) on the week going into the PPV.

THE VERDICT: VCW will go into the PPV with at least a 0.69 buyrate.

DWW Presents: SummerBANG!

SPOILER: show
#1 Contender Tourney
Evan Bourne vs. Amazing Red
MVP vs TBA
Homicide vs TBA
TBA vs TBA

TBA has a busy night. We haven't seen him yet on DWW television, but I hear that he is good enough to have a match with himself.

Seriously, though. I like the tournament idea. The DWW heavyweight title has been treated as very prestigious, and everyone wants it (which I guess they'd have to since there is no secondary title). Evan Bourne and Amazing Red have both been built up and that should be a great match to see. Homicide recently turned over a vicious new leaf, and MVP too has a new attitude.

Not a fan of how many TBAs there are here, so that drags this whole thing down a bit.

THE ANTICIPATION: Gets two ratings. 8/10 for Bourne/Red. 7/10 for the rest.

Loser Leaves DWW
Shark Boy vs. Jesse Neal vs. Primo vs. JTG

"Loser" is right. These guys are all dudes who I have no emotional investment in at all, and thus could care less if they leave DWW. Definite pee break, even if it is for "high stakes"

THE ANTICIPATION: 1/10

Tag Team Championships - Ladder Match
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. John Morrison & Kofi Kingston

Wasn't a fan of MoriKofi at the start. Felt to me that they were just stuck together because they were "two over mid-carders". Then they won me over with their whole World's Most Charismatic Team thing. The tag titles have also been made pretty important looking in DWW, so I guess it can be excused.

After Morrison's week 4 shenanigans with Miz, though, I can't help but still wonder if MoriKofi would have been better off in the #1 Contender tournament.

MCMG have definitely had a strange ride over the four weeks as well. Starting off as heels and turning face. Not sure what the point was of having them heel in the first place.

But anyways, Ladders. Flippy people. Titles.

THE ANTICIPATION: 9/10

World Heavyweight Championship
The Miz vs. Rhino

The Miz is probably the hottest heel in all of Armchair Warfare, and Rhino is probably one of the hottest face acts. Now here they go or the title. 'Nuff Said.

THE ANTICIPATION: 10/10

THE VERDICT: DWW will go into the PPV with at least a 0.69 buyrate.

TIW Presents: Back to Basics

SPOILER: show
TIW is a weird situation because its booker changed mid-way through, along with a number of directions.

Ted DiBiase & Skip Sheffield w/Michelle McCool vs. The Rainbow Connection w/Melina & Natalya

The Ted/Skip business relationship has been built up great, coming to a head in week 4 with Sheffield plunging head into his role as muscle for hire. Things were needlessly made confusing and convoluted when Skip revealed that he was also The Million Dollar Man's son, which doesn't make any sense at all. It makes so little sense that I'm just going to look past it. I still like the pairing.

Anyways, they face The Rainbow Connection because of Natalya's involvement. Don't really care for them at all. With the booker change, they lost two whole weeks to win me over.

THE ANTICIPATION: 6/10

Ezekiel Jackson & Shad Gaspard w/David Otunga vs. Vladimir Kozlov/????

ShadSpard have been on a massive losing streak. Even after David Otunga became their agent. Nevertheless, my interest in them is kept up because of this Agent business. Otunga promises a win at the PPV or else they can fire him. They face Kozlov and a mystery partner. Kozlov isn't very appealing, but the mystery is slightly.

THE ANTICIPATION: 5/10. Not enough to raise it from the middle though.

Mexican Death Match
Chavo Guerrero vs. Hernandez

TIW's first booker looked as if he was building towards a Hernandez/Chavo vs Beer Money match at the PPV. With Hernandez being used to restore Chavo's credibility. I was a huge fan of this angle.

With the new booker came a new direction. The team faced Beer Money during week 3, and Chavo took the loss. Hernandez turned on him post match. Now we will see a match between the two.

I am less a fan of this angle, but it is still decent. Chavo has yet to regain his credibility going into this match, losing to Beer Money and getting beat on by Hernandez. Nevertheless, fans have been reminded of his legacy and WANT to see him regain his credibility, and the PPV is the place to do it.

THE ANTICIPATION: 8/10.

Tag Team Championships
AJ Styles & RVD vs. Beer Money[/b]

AJ and RVD, the "other" faces in TIW face against Beer Money, who has definitely been on a role. RVD has been acting cocky as well these past two weeks. Really feels like a Beer Money win is inevitable in this match.

THE ANTICIPATION: 7/10.

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre vs. Scott Hall & Sean Waltman

McIntyggler are for sure over as the next biggest heels in TIW after Sheamus. However, Hall and Waltman are washed up, past their prime, but again being treated like big things. I don't think anyone is excited to see them anymore, aside from those few really really nostalgic people.

THE ANTICIPATION: 4/10. Only thing keeping it from being even lower is McIntyggler.

Samoa Joe vs. Undertaker

If Rhino over in DWW is "one of the hottest face acts", Samoa Joe IS the hottest face act in Armchair Warfare. He'd be over huge right now. Since week 1 he has been dominating, taking out everybody. Undertaker has been turned heel, and some of his mystique has been taken away, but at the end of the day... it is still The Undertaker.

THE ANTICIPATION: 9/10. Would be 10/10 if Taker was full-on Taker.

World Heavyweight Championship
Christian vs. Sheamus

Sheamus has certainly been built up as TIW's top heel very well. Christian had a couple of impressive wins as well. What really sold this match was the Peep Show encounter between the two on week 4. What has really damaged this match, on the other hand, is Samoa Joe getting a win over Christian going into the PPV, and dominating Sheamus the week before.

THE ANTICIPATION: 9/10. Again, would be 10/10 if not for the antics of Samoa Joe.

THE VERDICT: TIW will go into the PPV with at least a 0.84 buyrate.

The Final Tallies

SPOILER: show
1) TIW: 0.84
2) SCW: 0.79
3) VCW: 0.69
4) DWW: 0.69
5) LAW: 0.39

These numbers will be somehow used in conjunction with whatever I do to judge the PPVs. I'm really just making this up as I go along. Surprised what I get sometimes. Didn't think SCW would be second, but its big ratings in the first two weeks helped.

Regardless, PPV is going to make a killing on whichever Sunday all these shows air on.

Paul Heyman does not have that much rep yet (10+)
If I remeber correctly, I was first or second standby booker, so going into the new season, I'd love to book. Been enjoying quietly reading all these shows, some fantastic stuff going on

The PPV is the make or break week, some of the slower burning promotions can really pull it out of the bag! Bring on the PPVs!

Honestly, I was going to offer you the spot to take over where the other booker dropped, but I noticed that there hadn't been any activity from you in a while, so I skipped you on the list. I'm sorry to have done that, but I didn't know if you'd be back or not.

Totally unnecessary and confusing. Anyways, Chavo then beats Kozlov by DQ when Hernandez beats up Chavo and speaks in a foreign language. Definitely way less excited for this angle/feud then I was for Chavo/Hernandez vs Beer Money.

I just have to clear this up...

Sheffield getting on the mic and talking about his father was a typo. It was supposed to be Ted DiBiase getting on the mic saying that, I just screwed up and said Sheffield instead.

So I thought I would clear that up I'm not doing any sort of angle where Sheffield is the illigitimate son of The Million Dollar man. I just accidentally wrote Sheffield to say someone else's words.

I'd actually like to see a version the Armchair Warfare where all the bookers have to work together on a single show or teams like one team for Smackdown and one for RAW. Even Paul Heyman had other guys working with him in ECW.

You might be on to something there. If there are teams, it opens it up for more people to be able to participate. The thing is, though, you'd have to have a bunch of committed people or it wouldn't come off in a timely fashion.

I was also thinking about incorporating random things like injuries into the next season.

True but, if you're only assigned two feuds to write and there is a team leader, I imagine it could work. There would need to be a bit of coordination to make the cards work of course, and that's why there would need to be a team leader.

I imagine it would work like this

Team Leader assigns you one-two feuds. "You're in charge of Anderson VS. Hardy and Samoa Joe VS. CM Punk, what are your ideas?"

Then, the writer would plan out a month-long storyline to either culminate at the PPV or somewhere off in the future.

"Samoa Joe is going to come out after CM Punk's match and just wreck him the fuck up for no reason and then leave without saying a word. The next week CM Punk will be in the hospital and deliver a taped message to Joe and..."

The Head Booker would need to make sure that there are some bodies not involved with any major storylines to throw into matches too else we'd have a lot less wrestling (for some shows that might be the idea).

I like it. I was planning on doing an 'Armchair Review/Suggestions' thread once this season is over to try and make season two and even bigger success. We should definitely talk about teams there.

CRYPTIC MESSAGES ON SCW WEBSITE - CM PUNK?
By: Mike Johnson, PWInsider

Several readers have informed us that SCW's WrestleFest website contains hidden messages that seem to hint at CM Punk's promised involvement at the show. If all the text on the page is highlighted, the letters sXe can be seen in a hidden text block. If you adjust your screen resolution, the words "IT'S COMING" are seen imprinted in the background. Lastly, a hidden link on the page takes you to a video that says those same things.

Sources inside the company say that management has played this very close to the vest, although it is expected that CM Punk will play a huge role at the PPV. The thought is that the company wants to push Punk as it's top heel and whatever he is doing at the PPV will be more effective if he is not competing in a match. However, management feels that Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger will put on a fantastic match in the main event. The reason their feud has not gotten too personal is that the company does not want it to take heat off of Punk. This also saves plenty of material for a proper feud between them down the road.

Personally, I cannot wait to see how this pans out.

Hey AT.

Read the suggestions you had.

We tried running with teams of bookers in the Armchair Warfare style game I used to run, and it just becomes a nightmare.. Some people have thier segments ready before others, and people just keep chasing each other to get it done. The best way is just having the one booker, that way, no one is chasing people to complete shows. There was too many instances when people had shows good to go, but, people were slacking when it came to their bits.

As for random injuries and stuff, we did that and it worked well. Forced you to work on utilising talents effectively. If done correctly, the injuries work well.

We also had a thing, much like the reviews that get done here, where by the game world was constantly changing, like, there was breaking news updates about backstage things, people getting arrested, and other stuff that you had to deal with, like scenarios that are presented to you, and how you deal with them both on and off camera counted towards your score.

Yeah, I think people lost interest in this. a shame as I was looking forward to judging next season, but now there may not be enough interest to have one

Looking forward to seeing everybody's PPVs at least to get some "closure"

Actually I think once the PPVs come in, like Lock Jaw said, perhaps people will get interested again. I certainly hope so so we can have more seasons.

INTERNAL SKEPTICISM OVER STORYLINE IN VCW?
By: Mike Johnson, PWInsider

Sources from within VINTAGE Championship Wrestling say that some company officials are unhappy with the handeling of the Suicide v Eric Young storyline. Some feel that a Suicide de-masking has lost value due to the way the story has played out due to the writer booking himself into a corner.

In opposition, the writer of the angle believes the stroyline has played out as it should have. Our "inside man" says that the writer feels that having a Mask Match at the PPV would hurt whoever is under the mask as he would have to lose in order for the reveal to happen. This is the reason the "Mask Match" happened on free TV.

More over, the compromise was made to have Suicide lose that TV match by countout to "protect" a match at the PPV, as offcials thought people wouldn't be hooked into a Suicide/Young match if the first had a decisive finish.

In the opinion of this reporter, the pair should provide at least a good PPV match and from what I hear on the grapevine the revelation of who is under the mask will be more than worth the storyline.
