Rob Van Dam is probably the biggest one for me. I also have to be honest and say that I don't really enjoy Bret Hart matches too much.

Alberto Del Rio bores the fuck out of me. Good wrestler no doubt, but I just have found it really hard to stay invested in him at all.
Maybe it's a bi-product of how he was booked in 2011. Once he lost at WM27 I feel like nearly all the interest I had in him was gone. Even when he actually won the title it was just "eh" |

I wasn't 'buying' Eddie until his last year, I was really digging his promos against Rey and Batista even though the whole custody battle thing was stupid.
He won the title a bit too soon though but at that point the WWE title was under the WHC. |

Brock Lesnar
I just don't get the draw. He cannot cut a promo so Heyman does it for him, he is VERY out of shape and I am just not a fan of his in ring work. He is on par with the Great Khali IMO |

B) and C) don't apply to Brock at all. Wherever did you come up with those pre-conceived notions?

I can get someone seeing Brock as stale when lately all his matches are basically "suplex into finisher shenanigans"
but it's unfair to say he's out of shape |

Now as for out of shape if your wrestling without a top on at least be ripped (like Del Rio). Jericho is another who needs to lean down. You cant be seen as some massive bad ass when you have a bit of a gut. Now obviously he is not at the level as Bray and KO but you get what I mean right? Have you seen how knackered he is after a couple of mins in ring. Like I say though this is just my view and if you think I am being a massive troll then so be it ![]() |

I just wish that people would take the Suplex City phenomenon and apply it to Scotty Steiner's 2003 Royal Rumble performance against HHH. By that metric, it was genius, ahead of its time, and a masterclass in psychology.

I'm gonna have to say Kurt Angle, he had good matches but I put him in the category, of Triple H, where he was the guy that worked with the big name. I have never bought him as a headliner and his move to TNA did nothing for his career.

Mr. Perfect- I disagree, but I understand. He seemed to only have 1 good run i. WWF from the late 80's to early 90's, and then injuries derailed him, but his work while healthy was always, in my opinion, superb. Hassan- I think everyone looks back fondly on this character not for work rate, mic skills, or anything intangible with the guy himself, but rather that he represented the last gasp of the promotion doing ANYTHING remotely daring or controversial. The character, and what it represents creatively, I can understand being remembered fondly. |

The reason people like Malenko and Lance Storm because they appreciate great technical wrestling. That said, anyone who thinks they should have main evented, is delusional. As much ad I love those guys, and guys like them, they really achieved all they could have in this business.
Eddie Guerrero on the other hand is not one of those guys. He had that unique charisma and personality that stars are made of. The it factor that so many other guys are missing. As a face, he just had this personality that made people want to cheer him. You wanted to have a beer and be friends with him. And by the same token, as a heel he could be a heat machine, and at times ciuld be downright scary. In ring Eddie was one of the best ever. He was better technically than just about anyone, including storm and malenko, but he also had an exciting repotoire of moves to get the casual fans on their feet, from the Frog splash to his friggin gorgeous springboard senton. Everything he did was ececuted with such fluidity that Eddie should have been the one called the Excellence of execution. I do not agree with lumping Eddie in with the rest of the technical wrestler internet darlings. |

Brock Lesnar may not be as cut as he used to be, but I wouldn't call him out of shape or fat. Any man that can throw around grown men like they're children for 10-25 minutes is not out of shape. And lets not discount how fast he does it. His speed is still crazy for s guy his size.
While comparing Brock to Khali is some major hyperbole, mrwalty does raise some valid points. If it were anyone else I'd probably feel the same way about the situation. But seeing a genetic freak like Lesnar ragdoll the shit out of everyone makes me forget about all his faults. He just plays the monster better than anybody. From taz in ecw, to goldberg in wcw, no one with the unstoppable gimmick has had such a presence in ring and out than Brock Lesnar. |

I thought Hassan was tremendous. His mic work wasgreat, and his gimmick was so refreshing and original. Playing an american bitter about how he is percieved because of his race, was a fantastic twist, as there was a lot of depth to it, especially in that he wasn't wrong. Plenty of discrimination against arab americans in the country.
But then they had him do actual terrorist shit which went completely against everything they had portrayed his character to be about up to that point, and it was pretty much over after that. |

I will say Edge...
I mean, I liked Edge... but nowhere near where other people seemed to like him. Always thought Christian was the more talented one. I did really like Edge a few times, when he was really playing up that he was "crazy" vs. Shawn Michaels and then vs. Undertaker..... but for the most part, found all of his Rated-R Superstar stuff pretty passable.... |
