I put it on my to rent list. I watched it and then I placed it on my never rent again list.

Of course it got mixed reviews. Think of who is reviewing the movie compared to who it was made for? The bad reviews that I read were all complaining about usage of the word fuck and other little conservative nitpicking like that.

I hate Ashton, but I actually liked the Butterfly effect...

I've heard Requiem for a Dream was good from all my friends, but I have yet to see it, and sorta have no intention on doing so

Thought it was a good movie. Didn't really expect what happened at the end.

So far its still probably one of the most disturbing movies I've seen this year but it was damn good. Also probably one of the better movies besides the Back to the Future movies to deal with time travel.

The Butterfly Effect and I have an odd relationship. See, my aunt let my dad borrow it, and he was so hyped on it. He raved about it ever since it came out(at this time, he was working at Carmike Cinemas), saying, "Dude, you've got to check this movie out.". So he brings it home, we watch it, with my expecations very low. And damn, I was totally wrong about it.

It's a very entertaining, exciting and thrilling film from start to finish. On the DVD, there's a bonus alternate ending(I won't spoil it), and the alternate ending is so much better than the original ending(IMO). It gives such more importance to sacrifice, and allows you to realize what a big sacrifice can really do.
