I like Tazz, everytime I hear "It's all good in the hood!" it cracks me up, don't know why.

JR is the worst play by play guy in the WWE, he makes so many mistakes that King has to keep correcting. His voice get's more slury all the time, he's starting to sound more and more like Cartman. I remember hearing he suffered a stroke some years back, but when a horse starts chocking up the integrity of the show quality, it's time to take it out back and unload a shotgun into it's face.

Still, WWE clearly don't give too much of a damn about quality at the moment, save for Smackdown.

Personally I think JR and King are feeling comfortable. They know they're the "A Team", they know they don't have to be on top form constantly.

I've been hating their commentary for years. Even before Heyman came in back in 2001 I found them awful. Heyman's run only pushed the point home a little more.

If it's not cliched "governmentmules", "one man ass kicking contests", "chocolate/bbq sauce ring mats/corners/etc" it's "PUPPIES!!". I get tired of repetition very quickly. Nowadays when watching Raw it's like playing SmackDown! vs Raw 2007...same 10 sentences about each particular wrestler.

I think it is good when commentators instill things in wrestlers. "Gore! Gore! Gore!" got Rhyno OVER. It's too bad the WWE fucked it up. Much like catchphrases can help get crowds into wrestlers, commentators can help make a wrestler become more prominent, and it makes the commentator's job more than just talking over the rest holds.

It has to do with this nonsense about making the announcers more prominent or bonding with the wrestlers, two things which never seem to work or come to any good.

I've thought that your booking was shit for the longest time, and have vocally said so. I think some of your ideas are borderline Vince Russo wet dreams, and that you're about as in-touch with the wrestling work as I am with the Bible Belt. That includes the above statements you made. None of this is news. You didn't seem to take any of those statements as personal attacks before, but I disagree with you on Edge, backing it up with the actual transcripts (whereas you couldn't be arsed to back up your claims about my statements, or took them out of context...Yeah, I'm the bad guy there), and suddenly you're complaining that I'm ruthlessly tearing into you.

Do people take Todd Grisham and Steve Romero seriously as commentators? Fuck no. Commentators need character, and they need to be more prominent than just a guy in the booth.

I'm not taking this seriously at all, I used the word "crucified" as literary license as you have gone out of your way to make snide little remarks towards me recently. Granted, you do it to others, but it was you who blew it up. I personally don't like engaging you, as you tend to do this, and twist things the way you want them:

You're the one who took the term "crucified" literally, not me. If I was literally being crucified, I'd be up on the cross, or at least using words like "martyr". Who did that? Oh, that's right, it was you.

I made my opinion, and insulted it, I used the facts in the Edge thread (the woman was condescending, if you can't pick that up you are a moron), it was you who chose to run around changing the point of the thread, asking what it did to change people's minds.

I have nothing against you, I think you have more personality than most people I've ever seen on forums, and for a while I could identify with you. But you seem to just be arguing for the sake of arguing now, and I'm just meeting you there. You don't bother me, I won't bother you. You'll find that I've given you positive rep for a lot of the smart stuff you say on these boards, and agree with you quite regularly on most matters.

Interestingly enough, CanadianCrippla last night was asking me about my sources for the Ruse Report because some of the stories seemed a little dubious. This is about on the same level. There's no legitimate reason to believe Sting's soul was signed to WWE, and there's no legit reason to believe that my comment referred to an actual crufixion, due to the overall rareness of such an event these days.

Myself, I break them out on Christmas and Groundhog's day, but that's just me.

The big reason I hate Michael Cole is because he's clearly a clone of McMahon's commentary style from years ago. The one thing I really really FUCKING hate is when after the ref counts 2, he'll say some shit like 'its over its over!' or 'we've got a new champion'. Just like how McMahon used to.

I think Michael Cole would be better if he wasn't such a pussy and was his sly self more often. He actually hits JBL with some good zingers occasionally, and you can tell by the way JBL acts towards Cole, he's got some sort of affection for him.

Michael Cole could be pretty good if he wasn't such a whiney babyface character, in other words. It irritated me to no end at No Way Out when Randy Orton stole a victory from Rey Mysterio, and Michael Cole was having a hissy fit about how Rey Mysterio was cheated out of the match whilst representing Eddie Guerrero. "How dare he cheat, Eddie Guerrero would have never approved of that!".

Stupid babyface shit holds Cole down.
