Have you heard the responses that RVD gets from crowds all over the world? It's pretty clear that RVD appeals to more than just ECW fans & potheads.

Did I say he "only" appealed to those people? No. Those are the people he appeals to most, the people that make his pops more noticable than, say, Scotty Too Hotty. The Worm gets a pretty big reaction too, you know. I've been sick of this Van Dam cocksucking ever since the Invasion. He's gotten more than he deserved from WWE as far as I'm concerned, especially when I would have fired his useless ass after the arrest business.

Well, I'm glad you clarified your point because in your original statement you just happened to fail to mention that RVD is MAD over with casual wrestling fans all around the world.

While you never said 'only' you did insinuate that the only people who enjoy RVD are ECW fans and potheads by ommiting any mention of the other millions of people around the world who cheer for RVD.

RVD os MAD over because of exposure and a certain amount of consistency (until his absence that ended a year and a half ago, he had been pretty much constant since 2001.) Put anyone out there that long as a face, and as long as they aren't abysmally bad at what they do, they'll get equal reaction. And crowd reaction does not make a useful wrestler. Ron Simmons gets mad crowd reaction saying "damn," does that mean the entire show should be built around that? Van Dam is a solid midcarder with a good and useful following, but there are a dozen guys on the roster that get equally good reactions that DON'T get arrested for smoking pot in the middle of their pushes.

The way Angle was pushed during the beginning of WWECW (after ONS2), I would agree that Angle was the face of ECW, even more so than Van Dam.

I do hate to see him go, and hope something better happens in the future for him, even if I don't really want to see him in TNA. ROH sounds good though.

But like I've said before, going back to his arrest. Even though people debate what should have happened to him, my say is that he got caught doing something that everyone knew he did. I'm not saying he's innocent, but he just shouldn't have been doing it at that time. He did mess up his push by getting caught, but I still think that he shouldn't have gotten in as much trouble as he did.
