I haven't played the latest editions, but I found WE/PES more entertaining. Used to be a fan of the EA sports football games before, even won a prize for a "Best goal" in WC98 and took part in a tournament.

Only played the pro evo demo and it was horrible. Felt like playing a game from about 5 years ago.

Got FIFA 10 on the X Box and it's good but there is something about it that feels very bizarre. Maybe years of playing PES on the PS2 is affecting that.

Used to it now and well into the manager mode. Bringing Darlington up through the leagues. Should be promoted into the championship on successive promotions. First season was hard now this season seems really easy with the transfers I made. Going to have to look at raising the difficulty, think I'm at medium right now. I managed to get to the FA Cup Final, knocking out Sunderland on penalties in the semi final. Didn't even get past the first round in my first season.

I've only played a little bit of Winning Eleven online. Didn't come across any dickheads, but I didn't win a single game I played. I don't play videogames enough to be good at them online. Except maybe rock band, I guess.

i can't play any games online cause for some reason xbox connection is godawful in my house, despite the fact i get like 8mb broadband

plus it's a billion times worse if i use the wireless thing. it makes me sad.

i like the be a pro mode in fifa 09. find myself playing that more than proper matches, although it's a bit upsetting that once you put the difficulty on world class your team-mates play like a bunch of spastics, even when you are playing for barcelona.

Nah far lower % playing football games are knobs than most online gmaes which are full of angry 12 year olds.

It is cool when everybody sticks to their roles.

I try and stick to mine, regardless of where I end up. Often not quick enough to select centre mid or up front and get centre back.

It's funny watching all your team bombing forward...not funny when the other team counter attacks and you're the only one back.

Also...not sure anybody playing this game on pro mode understands the offside rule.

Got beat in the FA Cup final by Man Utd, Berbatov scored in the last minute to make it two one, went up to the second highest level a few games before the final. Got promoted to the Championship won a few games and drew a few games. New additions include Bullard and Eagles. Last night played Forest and went 3-1 down before pulling it back to 3-2 and equalising in the last minute, probably one of the most enjoyable games so far in terms of drama. If this season is too easy, I'll go to the highest level.

yeah that's what I assumed it would be mostly like because everybody wants to be the hero.
