I wanted to say he reminded me of Hendo too, but thought that might be considered blasphemy.

That being said, I think a potential GSP/Silva superfight is really fucking stupid when GSP has one clear competitor and another in Diaz assuming he wins his return fight to the UFC and doesn't piss hot. Yeah, those fights aren't Silva/GSP in Cowboy stadium, but GSP sells out anywhere in Canada and I don't think he's sold less than 600,000 pay per views in the last five years anyways.

Plus, GSP/Diaz could do between 800,000 and a million buys and probably match or break the Rogers Center record GSP set headlining against Shields.

It's obvious GSP isn't comfortable fighting Silva because of the size difference. Love how Rogan and Goldberg kept talking about GSP's physique and how big he looked (hint, hint).

He's deflected the fight time and time again in interviews and even said if he did fight Silva he'd want six months to bulk up. The fact that the most recent discussion has the fight taking place at a catchweight is more evidence that GSP just doesn't like the size matchup.

It's not about what weight a guy walks around at, or what weight class he "could" fight at, it's about what's comfortable for him. If cutting to 170 is where GSP feels he does his best work, so be it. He shouldn't have to go up 15 pounds for a "challenge" like this is UFC Undisputed on Xbox 360 (fuck you and your PS3 csl). The physical difference is something to be aware of. It's not like boxing where each weight class is separated by five pounds so Floyd Mayweather or Pacquaio can "move up," still weigh less than their opponents and whoop ass.

GSP would be fighting a guy who has fought at a weight class 35 pounds heavier than welterweight and knocked dudes out. Can't blame him for not wanting that. Plus, although Anderson is the Greatest of All Time, it's kind of shitty that he doesn't want to fight JBJ, but has no problem taking on a smaller guy in GSP.

I will say is once again, AT THIS POINT I'D RATHER SEE SILVA/BONES THAN SILVA/GSP..

Yeah that would be a better fight. Poor GSP is being put into a corner of sorts with Silva and Dana pushing for the fight.
