I wanted to see exactly that. But man, he just buried both of them. Unless Rock is picking up the title or something, this is weird.

Not complaining. The rest of the show was so horrible. And quite frankly, Cena and Miz did not have that main event.

Oh god damn. I had a stream that worked almost perfectly until the double dq was announced. Then it froze until Miz got the pin. I had another stream that sucked, but at least I got a choppy version of the Rock. What a shitty shitty ending. Mania was still pretty enjoyable.

I'm still here live and my GOD the crowd was hot. Easily the best Mania ever.

And for those who don't listen to rap/hip hop, DMXs voiceover playing during Cenas video package was from an old album of his. Crowd popped INSANE when Rock dropped Cena. My whole section erupted in cheers.

I'm not one to bitch that often but it's Mania.

First off.

Why the hell change the end of Lawler-Cole? What does Cole get by getting that decision reversed? Give Lawler the moment he earned. The hell.

I know some will disagree but I hated the end of that. It should have been left with Miz standing in the ring. Puts him over ever more as a Heel Champion. Unless the Rock is staying for a long period of time it was pointless.

Also pissed they took Sheamus/Bryan off basically due to the long boring Rock promo at the start. That could have been a great, a solid at the very least match.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Cole now, given the ending of Mania. Rock said he's staying for a while so it makes sense, I mean, Miz DID disrespect his family leading up to Mania...they still had the score to settle.

Weird Mania. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but definitely had a strange, different feel to it. Quite a lot of talking, and the main event ending in a double countout to be restarted and then the result coming from interference was un-Wrestlemania like. Not a complaint, just wasn't your typical Wrestlemania. Still had it's great unique moments. The entrances were cool. Loved the endings to Punk/Orton and Triple H/Undertaker in particular, great work there. Overall I'd say it lived up to what I expected and was worth the purchase.

Overall I thought this was a pretty lackluster Mania. However, I loved Taker/HHH and they totally made the right call by having Miz retain.

Rock/Cena at Summerslam should be the goods.

That was the worst Mania ever.

Problems:

Not enough Rock. The "monologue" had no point, kept going on and on.

Scheduling problems. No Bryan/Sheamus?

"Finally the P has come back....." Pee Wee Herman plug. Don't fucking do that. That was crazy (and I'm a Pee Wee Herman fan).

Having Triple H own Taker and then Taker puts him to sleep. That was forced.

World Championship match first? WTF????

Very disjointed mania and not enough Rock, who you know WAS THE HOST!

That was the worst Mania ever.

Problems:

Not enough Rock. The "monologue" had no point, kept going on and on.

Scheduling problems. No Bryan/Sheamus?

"Finally the P has come back....." Pee Wee Herman plug. Don't fucking do that. That was crazy (and I'm a Pee Wee Herman fan).

Having Triple H own Taker and then Taker puts him to sleep. That was forced.

World Championship match first? WTF????

JR was LIFELESS. Had no interest being there and honestly seemed very preoccupied. He felt off tonight. Should have been able to call ALL of Wrestlemania.

Very disjointed mania and not enough Rock, who you know WAS THE HOST!

I didn't LOVE the main event but it was acceptable, the rest of the show was pretty amazing... Triple H vs The Undertaker give Shawn a run for his money... Rhodes/Rey was great, Rio/Edge was awesome... love it

I was disappointed with Mania

Positives:
-Punk/Orton was decent
-Rey/Cody was good
-HHH/Taker was phenominal
-WHC was a nice...opener?
-JR!
-MIZ WON!
-Rock did a good job as host
-My stream died when Snooki's match was on so I missed it :P

Negatives:
-While at times he did good, Rock felt...lacking...
-WHC opened the show...
-8 man tag lasted 2 minutes?
-Cena/Miz was OK but teasing the Double Countout win was dumb
-The celebrity cameos seemed pointless
-Not necessarily that bad, but the Taker ending was kind of confusing.
-Snooki...just Snooki.
-Daniel Bryan/Sheamus, the US title match mind you, gets demoted to a dark match!!!! FUCK!
-Said dark match ended up as a battle royal...weak.
-Cole didn't get a big enough ass kicking
-Cole got ZERO stunners! I was expecting at least one!
-Cole WON! (granted a reversed DQ win but still...)

All in all...

That HHH/Taker match was pretty terrible. Did not "have" me until pretty much the end of the match with HHH doing the tombstone.

Match of the night was by far Cody Rhodes/Rey Mysterio. Cody Rhodes put in the performance of the night in m opinion... which is astounding.

Edge/Del Rio was a good match too, but I give Cody/Rey the honors over it.

No it really wasn't. Not a single classic match or even really memorable match. MOTN was fucking Cody Rhodes vs Rey Jr.

HHH vs Taker was alright, it was solid but with the build up to it being OMG it's HHH/Taker and that's it, it needed to be better then solid it needed to be a classic and it wasn't, not even close. It was a slow paced match with no rhythm or flow to it, both guys looked really old out there and were working at at most 50% speed. It was spot... rest rest spot....rest spot. I mean HHH shoulderblocks Taker in the corner and then collapses and rests for 45 seconds, the whole thing went on way too long, some of the spots were good: the spine buster through the table, the HHH tombstone but the finish was weak and the post match assuming that wasn't really was drawn out and awkward.

Edge vs del Rio deserved better then curtain jerking and was a pretty good little match (in fact I was actually praising Mania after this match and Rey/Cody) but The Corre match was an albatross, Cm Punk vs Orton was alright (Punk did the best he could with the Scott Summers of WWE), Morrison and Ziggler deserved better than being in the pee beak match. The mainevent was given no time, Cena's entrance was borderline cultural appropriation, the double countout reversal finish was the worst way to get The Rock involved, the only thing they got right was Miz winning but then they just discarded him, in lieu of The Rock (which granted they had to do but should have had Miz get a bit of celebration time in) Finally Lawler/Cole was the most disappointing thing on the card and that's unacceptable, it had the best build and should have been the easiest thing to book, King kicks the crap out of Cole Piledriver 1,2,3 or repeated fistdrops if Cole can't handle the piledriver, instead it went on for 15 minutes, Cole was in control for way more of the match then needed. Booker T getting in the ring post match was dumb and the super delayed reversing of the match was awful.


All in all not a good Mania at all.
