Condit vs GSP: I think they are pretty even on the feet.. I think that GSP will be able to take Carlos down and keep him there.. This fight all depends on if Condit can sink a sub from his back, which he has done before..

Kampman vs Hendrick: Hitman is a smart veteran with power in his hands.. Hendricks is a little pittbull with more power in his hands.. I think Hendrick's wrestling will be the difference..

Lawlor vs Carmont: Both guys are submissions experts and both have won fights on the feet.. I give the experience striking edge to Carmont, as he has been training with Firas Zahabi..

This picture is a joke.

What's the point of a guy being the "interim champion" if he doesn't defend the title in the interim? Condit didn't beat the champion and he didn't fight anyone after "winning" the interim title with shitty leg kicks. This fight shouldn't be marketed as champion vs. champion. UFC titles are nothing more than gimmicks these days.

GSP is going to beat Condit via boring decision because he's the better athlete, more well rounded and, unlike Nick Diaz, isn't ashamed to check leg kicks.

GSP is calling Condit a champion due to the fact that GSP is supposed to defend his title once a year.. It's been more than a year so in his eyes, his title is vacated and Condit is the "real" champion..

That's retarded. In that same time span, the "champion" has zero title defenses. Sounds more like GSP being the company man and saying all the right stuff to give Condit credibility than actually believing some dimwitted logic like that.

I'd say the interim champion just should never be brought back. Might confuse the casual fan..and really what's the point?

If anything after a year or year n a half if the champ can't defend just vacate the title.

If Condit wins it'll spoil a GSP/Silva possibility. But it might spark a Bones/Silva matchup even more. That's a better fight anyway. If GSP wins there's the rumor that Silva will challenge him in the ocatogon right there.

I'm not pumped for this fight or this card to be honest. I like Philipou and Hendricks vs. Kampman should be a good one, but not one I'd drop $60 to see.

Felt like there was more talk of GSP/Silva at Cowboy Stadium then there was about GSP/Condit at times.

Either way Silva has the potential to screw with three different divisions. If GSP wins, Dana's hard on for GSP/Silva would rage and fuck over Nick Diaz and whoever wins between Kampman and Hendricks.

If JBJ beats Sonnen in April, he's the most logical and most likely to actually put up a strong challenge to Anderson Silva. This is a fight I'd actually want to see. HOWEVA, Hendo would probably get fucked.

Then there's the 185 division that would just be floating if Silva decides to only fight once next year.

Silva has some movie deals in the works, wants time off, and I think contractually, he earned it with the quick turn around between Sonnen and Bonnar..

Bisping is pushing for this.. I think it would be more fair to have it be both fights in a mini tourney, the winners face each other, then have Silva face the overall winner upon his return..

Silva is a different kind of monster.. Every other HOF'er of past has lost their respected titles before they got to this point so the UFC could just use them as they see fit to make awesome fights.. They did it with Liddell, Couture, Penn, Hughes, etc.. Silva's problem is he just won't lose and doesn't look like there is enough BEEF at 185 to dethrone him, for lack of a better term..

As I said a few weeks ago, GSP/Silva is still interesting, but at this point that's not THE fight.. Maybe two years ago, but not now.. Now THE fight is Bones/Silva, and I thinks that alot closer to happening than any other superfight in the next year..

I think Weidman is a fighter who presents problems for Silva. He's got strong wrestling (although it may not be on par with Chael's), finishing power and unlike Sonnen, he's got very good jiu jitsu. If he continues to win and doesn't get a shot at Silva, I think it would be a shame. Bisping deserves a shot too, but I don't see him pushing Silva.

I don't see Silva staying at 205 even if he beat Jones in a super fight. Plus, if Silva knocks off Jones (who has run through everyone up there), seeing Anderson fight those same guys wouldn't really have much appeal either.

As far as GSP/Silva goes, I don't want to see that fight at all. GSP wants a catchweight, Anderson goes up to 205 on short notice like it's nothing. Dude towered over Chael and he's a former LHW too. Silva's size will be too much for GSP. Plus, both guys are smart fighters who aren't going to engage unless there's an opening. That fight would end really early with a devastating Silva KO or go to a very boring decision that pisses a lot of people off.

Jones/Silva is more intriguing, but even if Jones does knock off Silva, it wouldn't be as big a feather in Jones' cap considering the age gap and size differences between Jones and Silva. If Silva was four years younger or goes on TRT maybe, but not now.

I wonder if Nick Diaz would leapfrog Hendricks and Kampman for a title shot if that fight was a dud and GSP won? They could probably do a high six figure buyrate with GSP/Diaz, I don't think they come close with GSP vs. the other two dudes.

Weidman is a stud but only has one win against a legit contender (Munoz) IMO.. Sure he slaughter him but I think he needs more wins to be a true number 1.. A win over Boetsch will be big for him..

As for Silva, I think the natural progression is at 205.. It's a more natural weight for him and regardless of what Bones has done, think of Rashad, Shogun, Texiera, even Rampage.. And we can always hope for a Machida match..

HE IS GOING TO BE IN MOVIES

That's it.. His current contract is for like 1 title defense a year, as I said earlier, he "took one for the team" and fought Bonnar like 12 weeks after the Sonnen fight.. He now wants time off to act in movies he is contracted to be in.. Plus in MMA years dude is like 100.. Not only is he 37, but since 2006 he has fought atleast 2 times a year.. All of those fights being against TOP TIER competition (minus Travis Lutter LOL).. Out of his 16 UFC fights in the past 6 years, ALL have been either championship fights or in a higher weight class, except the Leban fight, who at the time Silva destroyed him, was on the verge of getting a title shot..

It may seem like I'm riding his jock but he is the greatest fighter of all time IMO.. And as I mentioned earlier, every other UFC "hall of fame" caliber fighter at this point in their respective careers had ALL lost their titles so UFC could use them sparingly in "super fights"..

Silva is a different monster and he has def earned a say in what he does and who he fights..

isn't 2013 the last year of Jon Jones at LHW? Didnt he mention that he was gonna start packing on the pounds to fight the Bigguns? If Silva doesn't hop in the Octagon now against Bones, that fight won't happen.

GSP had better be worried about Condit.....

I couldn't even get that out before I realized the severity of the wrestlefuck coming Saturday

Kampmann never has bad fights guy, always makes it a tear-up. Love that guy (so :foc: )

Wouldn't mind if Kampmann had to fight Diaz after it for #1 contender though.
