It's really a reverse style WWE 80's booking. Hogan was the champ and a shit load of heels were viable challengers to his Title. His wrestled Bundy one night and Orndorff the next and both were seen as guys who could take his Title. Just as an example. It's pretty cool, but they're going to have to position ONE guy as the "main" guy sooner or later.

I agree, a lot of guys chasing the title (and believeably winning it) is great stuff. I personally think they should have had Rhino win the title again at Turning Point, just to surprise everyone. That way you can have Rhino vs. Abyss mean more with the title on the line, and Jeff Jarrett & Monty Brown vs. Sting & Christian Cage can be for lined up title shots.
I'm not a huge fan of the "put the title on everyone you can" idea, but you've already put the belt on Rhino once, you may as well do it again to the lend the guy some credibility instead of having it sit of Double J's mantle. |
