TNA signings
In the newest Torch Newsletter Wade mentions that Scott Seiner will be debuting with TNA soon.
-TNAWrestling.com board In Wade Kellers new audio update on pwtorch.com he said TNA has signed a name from the Monday Night War era. He said hes not a huge name but he was a head liner and he will debute on the first primetime episode of Impact. Wade did not say who it is. He said he was told on confidence about this and until it is leaked somewhere else he will not talk about it. -same as above Well, Scott Steiner might not be so bad if he wrestles like how he did in WCW. WWE made just about all WCW wrestlers look bad. Though, I'd rather have Buff if he wasn't a cancer in the lockerroom. The other signing some are speculating could be a different person..and that different person may be Rikishi? lol If that is indeed so, TNA made a terrible decision there. I AM PABLO. |

Steiner in WWE made Steiner look bad. The guy looked like he was gonna die in ring.

Remember when Steiner used to do the Frankensteiner? I shudder to think what would happen if he tried it today.

Remember when the only thing holding Steiner back was Edge and Christian, not years of inactivity and abuse of his body?

Steiner has a mind for wrestling (although his body may not be up to scratch these days), so given the right opponent, and if he is used as a heel, Steiner could work for the company.
Is it confirmed it's going to be Scott Steiner? I would much rather it be Chris Jericho, even if he is alledgedly done with wrestling. |

I'd rather it be Test than Steiner.
Could you imagine Test vs. Lance Hoyte? |

The only thing Scott Steiner has done in the last ten years is make me alternately sad and embarrassed to be watching wrestling.
There is a finite number of times I can watch a grown white man wear a chainmail shawl and say "holla." That number is two. |

steiner could be a good manager he is still grate on the mic, maby he can still do hardcore matches or maby tag matches where the partner does most of the work. rikishi the only way to use him is maby he can join somoa joe they might be a good heel group.

Steiner was so misused in wwe. all of the former wcw talent was. first, they tried to make him a FACE! good god, its like wwe never saw him in wcw. what put him over in wcw was his monsterous unpredictable heel charecter. some wrestlers are born heels and he is one of them. they couldn't make him a heel because hhh was a heel. all the wcw talent were misused. like goldberg, they should've made him a monster heel to give the people a reason to boo him. whats wrong with this site? it keeps timing out! it won't load

Touche.
Seriously, whether you like him or not, Jericho would be a far more worthwhile acquisition with the current wrestling landscape being what it is than Scott Steiner. |

I actually like TNA, but I don't see any logical reason why Jericho would sign with them. Steiner is only useful if he can go in the ring, which he probably can't. There are really a very limited amount of useful "name" wrestlers out there. They should focus on building up their own roster. |

Whether he's under contract or not, Vince Mcmahon's business practices are pretty well known. He's vindictive. He holds a grudge. Jeff jarrett is a great example of this. Christian will never work for the WWE again. If he goes over to TNA neither will Jericho. And since Jericho is a smart guy and he knows that even some appearances for the WWE on a part-time basis (like the Rock) could mean a couple tens of thousand extra record sales, I'm sure he's keeping that in mind. Which is why I don't think he would seriously consider TNA. The payday isn't worth the loss in public image. |

From speaking to a number of sources over the last several days, PWInsider.com can confirm that TNA and Scott Steiner are in discussions to bring the former WCW World champion into the company in conjunction with their Thursday night primetime slot on Spike TV.

This is dumb. You misunderstood what I was getting at. Jericho still does have all the guaranteed money, exposure, and security anytime he wants because he knows the WWE will take him whenever he wants to wrestle again. He won't have any of that, ever again, if he goes to work for TNA. Simple. |

Part time. Like The Rock. (Didn't I say this already?) Working a couple episodes of Raw and a PPV or two once a year right around the time his album is released.... Why is it so hard for TNA fans to accept that Jericho is a huge longhsot. The WWE means major national TV exposure, guest appearances on TV specials for other networks, and a huge boost for his recording career. TNA means....free tickets to Universal Studios for life? Face it: The only way TNA is signing a truly big name is if they are way past their prime or they have ruined all their connections with the WWE. |

Of course Jericho is a ridiculous longshot. I'm hardly your ultimate TNA mark, but Jericho has said he'd be interested in TNA, and I haven't read/heard anything (not to say he hasn't said this, just I haven't heard it) to suggest he'd return to WWE on the Rock schedule. For all the times Rock came back, he was under contract to WWE. Jericho isn't. There's very little chance of it ever happening, but the point I was trying to make was - for TNA, it's in their interest to go after someone who in the modern day would mean a rats ass to get. Only he can say what he'd do. |

I wouldn't say very little chance.
Limited touring chedule on one show is the same as limited touring on the other. more money for the WWE deal, more exposure, more interest in whatever he's pimping...It's why nobody's too proud to go back. |
