I think he'll miss quite a bit of time though, but even if he doesn't and Melky continues playing well it seems useless to resign him. I would definitely rather see Melky out there next year in right, so the only spot for Sheff would be DH. But we also have Giambi, Damon and probably Matsui that are going to need DH days. He would also be quite an expensive DH. |

I didn't say any of the guys I listed might be on roids, it was simply a list of big names Grimsley has played with

Sid Hartman says the Brewers would give up Korey Koskie and maybe a prospect for Kyle Lohse, which would be a fan favorite move, but I don't think Koskie is the long-term key to winning by any means.

Well, I keep hearing he will be out until September or the whole year. So it's probably safe to assume we won't be picking him up as a hugely paid DH lol. I guess you never know though.
But yeah, I could definitely see him murdering somebody if he doesn't get his option picked up haha. Obviously not getting 12 or 13 million or whatever he is making anywhere else. |

Wow, the Yanks game sure took a turn for the worst because of our marvelous coaching decisions and just awful bullpen pitching.
Torre brings Scott Proctor in for every single big spot and is just overusing him a lot, he's been awful lately because of it. And then the logical choice would be to bring in Scott Erickson to keep the game in reach, who can't really get a batter out and has no place on the team. |

From my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, but just taking steroids doesn't make you strong. Their biggest impact is that they basically speed up recovery, meaning that they allow you to lift a lot more etc. Maybe I am thinking of something specific, but I think that is one of the primary advantages.

Schilling pitched well tonight but still gave up 3 solo homers (Only 3 runs he gave up in 8) I dunno what the deal is but he has been giving up a shitload of homeruns it seems. Veritek hitting a homer was big, he actaully went 3 for 5 in tonight's game so hopefully his slump is over now.
Something I noticed about the Yanks, I like how a lot of people point out their injuries and how surprised they are with their success, I'm really not surprised at all. People even go as far as calling them the "Columbus Clippers" so apparently Damon, A-Rod, Jeter (been hurt for the last few games but has been playing/as far as I know is not on the DL?) Giambi, Cano, and Posada are all minor league hitters or something. You could even throw Berine Williams in there, he isn't what he used to be (obviously) but he is still a pretty decent player. So get production out of one of the "other guys" and you have a pretty ridiculous line up. Even with the other guys not doing shit the offense would still be pretty deadly. |

So I read that Felix Hernandez and Fransisco Liriano went out for dinner after their game in Seattle. Liriano came down with food poisoning. I can't believe the Mariners would stoop so low as to try and poison an opponent.

Yeah, the story was written kind of tongue-in-cheek. He lead with the food poisoning, but then said the Twins were more worried about Lariano trying to field balls with his throwing hand.

Albert Pujols' personal trainer since before being drafted by the Cardinals is mentioned in Grimsley's affidavit as supplying Grimsley with roids and amphetamines

Yeah I heard about that yesterday, apparently the Red Sox and Yankees are dominating all the categories. Went ahead and voted today with these lineups.
AL C - Mauer 1B - Thome 2B - Cano SS - Jeter 3B - Lowell OF - Vlad OF - Ichiro OF - Rios NL C - Barrett 1B - Pujols (if he's off the DL by then) 2B - Utley SS - Renteria 3B - Cabrera OF - Soriano OF - Beltran OF - Bay |

“I just don’t want my name to be part of this,” Mihlfeld said. “It’s not fair to me. It’s not fair to my family. It’s not fair to the other players I work with. It’s not fair to the kids I work with … They’ve got the wrong name on that deal.
“I know Jason Grimsley very well. And I have only two statements to make. One, Jason Grimsley is still my good friend. And two, I’ve never been involved in any illegal steroids, amphetamines or HGH activity. Period.” |

Ok Johnson seriously needs to retire now. He has given up 3 runs in 4 innings to the Sacramento RiverCats. He just gave up a dead-center bomb to Bobby Kielty. BOBBY KIELTY!

LMAO Antonio Perez raises his average to .059 with a 2-run shot off the Big Unit. Trading for 39 year old pitchers who haven't pitched in the AL since the mid-90's = brilliant
