That clip on youtube of that dude getting chops is about as far as pain should ever go. Anything beyond that is assault.

Yeah basically. When I first got into high school sports, I had to do one thing. Survive the "Green Team". Which is basically the scrub squad. B Team. Third stringers. I had to get the ever living crap knocked out of me every day minus Friday, and I had to survive it. I would then have to do other small things, like let the Seniors go ahead of me, basically it's a seniority thing. They would every once in a while try and get me to do something pretty crazy, and it always depended on what it was and how crazy it was and if I wanted to do it or not, I never did anything that would hurt me in any way. Hazing is pretty ridiculous, and it always makes me think of those ridiculous frat guys. Have to be a part of a ridiculous group and pay to be a part of a clique who everyone thinks is terrible anyway.
