I don't think Angle is gonna debut until they go Prime time. Don't know for though.

However this announcement did live up the hype.

Angle shouldn't work against the top names first, I don't think, at least not RIGHT off. Have Angle come in and want Jarrett/the NWA Title...but have Jarrett refuse (and somehow in the storyline, justify him being able to do this) to wrestle against Angle, until Angle "proves he's even worthy of wrestling in the same ring" as he is (yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds, but not only is this pro wrestling, but Jeff Jarrett is a heel). Jarrett then suckers Eric Young into taking a PPV match with Angle, telling him how great of a match it would be, and how it would make TNA money, which is what Jim Cornette told him he has to do to avoid being fired.

See, not really on the WWE being more likely to make a big fuss about a smaller guy than a huge one. A huge guy is someone that could legitimately do them damage, and taking it to court would honestly be a power play by the WWE. How much money do Dixie Carter and Panda Energy REALLY want to invest in legal fees brought on by them breaking contracts?

I DO doubt he has the clause.

That would actually be awesome. Angle needs to focus more on wrestling guys that are seen as jokes by a lot of fans. Alex Shelley for example. Angle vs. Shelley is potentially jizz quality, so let it happen. Imagine what the WWE would be like if Kurt Angle wrestled Paul London on SmackDown!. That is what TNA has a chance to do with their roster. Make it legit by sticking it in the ring with Angle.

Obviously, but like I said, within the confines of the wrestling world, the focus would be the same, and the people that care about legit sports aren't likely to be the type of people that would tune into TNA wrestling just to see Kurt Angle.

Yeah, I know what you mean, and it would be very ballsy for TNA to take on the WWE in court.

I think what it really would boil down to (assuming that Angle actually does have a clause, which is unlikely) is how much Angle hates the WWE, and how much the WWE really fears Angle. If the WWE took Angle to court, it is more likely to boost TNA in the public eye than make it less credible (which the no-compete clause is designed to do, isn't it?). So for that reason, and that reason alone, I can see the WWE just shrugging and going on pretending TNA doesn't exist. They shouldn't try shoving them anymore, because TNA now has some heavy firepower.

I want to hear the crowd reaction on Monday night, see what it's like. There better be at least one "WWE now fears TNA" or "WWE fears Angle" sign.

That actually makes sense. Don't guys get paid their no-complete cause? If Angle refuses to get paid, then he may be able to skip the 90 days.

What the hell is TNA going to do, though? I mean honestly, what could they do in retaliation to the WWE taking Kurt Angle to court that they wouldn't do regardless?

This has to be the darkest day in the history of professional wrestling. I love Kurt Angle, but I think this was a bad move on his part. And to be honest, neither the new timeslot nor Kurt Angle are enough to make me watch the borefest that is TNA.

(PS. Angle is great, but I doubt he alone will be enough to ever make TNA a threat to WWE)

Probably just make an appeal to wrestling fans, etc. I don't know if they'd actually be able to even get their hands up legally, but they do have media contacts, and TNA would make as much noise as possible. They could try and play it like the WWE is a "bully", and the idiot marks that don't apply logic to anything may jump to TNA, just because they are the "good guys" now.
