Remember when Austing just stated saying "WHAT" (before it got crazy huge). Seriously, I never thought one word would get that over in wrestling or anywhere else. Fans still occasionaly yell it.. As much as I loved "WHAT" and as huge as it got, I gotta go with "DAMN". I get excited every week for a new "DAMN". Then again, wrestling as a whole stinks now, so there is a chance I like "DAMN" more because there's nothing else to get excited about. No, "DAMN" is awesome and will always be funny to me. They should seriously keep doing this every week.

It was funny at first. If I remember correctly I think the first time he done it was with William Regal in 2001/2002... And he kept doing that thing with the watch or summit.

Anyway, that was great coz Regal was getting all pissed off etc, and Austin kept putting the mic to his mouth and shit.

"Damn" never really appealed to me.

I remember when he first started saying "What". At the time, the IWC thought he was the new satan for stunning a few young heels that they thought should be main eventers (Rene Dupree for example). When he started the "what" thing, some columnists pointed out how many times he said it as though they were spotting the first symptoms of senility maximus or something.


I've mentioned before that I fast forward every time I see another Damn coming up.

To be honest, "Damn" can't be as over-used as the "What" chants were. Ron doesn't constantly say it. In fact, he says it once per on-screen appearance.

I thought it was hilarious when Austin had Angle's medals and was threatening to drop them in the sewer, and each time he'd lower them he'd yell "WHAT?". It made no sense, it was ridiculous. Which is why it was awesome - but like anything, when everybody quotes it constantly, it starts to suck, bad.

I loved in Austin's last couple of matches when the crowd would yell "WHAT" every time he pretty much did anything. I really want him to have at least one more match to hear the WHAT's again.
