The only thing is that Blanchett won a couple of years ago for The Aviator. I suppose they may give it to her again, but I'm not sure. The only "supporting actress" I really hear about is Hudson, apparently she did a great job and plus the fact that Dreamgirls didn't even get nominated for best picture makes me think that the Academy will make up for that with wins for Murphy and Hudson.

Mirren is probably the biggest lock out of every nominee.

I kind of did the same thing you're talking about last year with my picks. I picked Jake Gyllenhaal for Best Supporting Actor because I overestimated how much The Academy would feel guilty for not giving Brokeback Best Picture. Perhaps I'm compensating for that mistake, but I'm feeling pretty good about Blanchett.
