I managed it

Mostly cos 2 (perhaps 3) of my starters are likely starting the year on the DL, which kinda fecks me.

Dunno, there's only so many points you can accumulate for any one position I think, its good in case of injuries but not exactly necessary

don't hate my team or love my team, had 1 bad draft pick, but it was late (thanks yahoo for not updating your injury report!) my pitchers have good upside potential and a lot of downside... happy with my hitting, didn't get the catchers I wanted, but can't have it all... would have liked to have Dice-K, but fever pitch was taking all the sox players early (hence why I went early for Papelbon).

Only have 2 legit closers, but they're 2 of the best.

I dunno, Maddux is pretty old though and I thought he was injured as well?

Dunn strikes out a fair bit though and I've got outfielders coming out my ears, decided to make some room for a few players that caught my eye off the waivers list . That was, before I realised I didn't have to release players before adding more.

Lesson learnt, eh?

Is anyone interested in Adam Laroche's 30/100 stats; for a pitcher? I've tossed out some offers and let me just add, I'm not interested in a pitcher for pitcher trade (at this moment), my main focus is adding a pitcher. Since I have Ryan Howard and Giambi, LaRoche becomes my odd man out even with his solid numbers.

Once they become F/A (tomorrow), they are 1st come, 1st serve. If you try to pick up a guy on waivers, there's an extra day of processing, PLUS if more than one guy goes after him (hence the extra day) the person with the highest priority gets him. Priority is determined by draft position. Eg: Since Fakerazor had the #1 overall pick, he has the lowest priority, Feverpitch, who picked last, has the highest. Everyone else is also ranked accordingly. If you make a waiver claim and are successful, you become the lowest priority for and bump everyone else up 1 position.

As for what I'm looking for, it's either a reliever or a starter. I kinda have need for both, so I'm not 'fussy' at this time.

your roster is set at 21 players. Some are bench positions. You can't have more than 21 active guys (plus two IR) guys. If a guy goes on the injured list, (and Yahoo recognizes it) he'll free up a bench spot on your team. You can fill it with whatever you want. When said player comes off the IR you have to drop someone, doesn't matter who as you can't have more than 21 active players.

I actually like Becket and Harden. Wood could be an awesome relief this year. Lidge is always decent. If I can get an upgrade though, I'll take it.

If all works out, I'm really happy with my pitching staff... problem is most of them are old and Clemens hasn't "made his decision" yet.

But if all works out, I'm pretty happy with my pitching and will probably be looking to move one of my SP for a RP.

I'm reasonably happy with Fuentes and Wickman as my RPs

Got Derek Lowe, Jered Weaver could be good if he stays fit, not too thrilled with Colon or Prior. Will be interesting to see who I can pick up as a free agent in the next couple days
