The mixtape
When I was in high school, I used to make mixtapes all of the time. I seemed to imagine that a musical gift of poor audio quality was a great idea. It did/does have a certain charm, though. I don't make them anymore because it's really not worth the effort. Did anyone else here make mixtapes, or does anyone still?

I used to have mix tapes for long trips, but now I have an iPod attachment in my car and a multi-CD changer.
If you are talking about rap mitape CDs, those djs need to die. I am tired of worthless assholes shouting over the entire song and promoting "beef" between people for no reason at all. |

No, not rap mixtapes. Mixtapes that you make for yourself/other people.
Shit, I don't use them anymore either. I was just wondering if anyone here used to, really. |

I haven't in quite a while, but I'm going to be smoking with this kid later who is smoking for the first time. So I wanted to provide an adequate soundtrack. It's interesting remembering the art of the mix.

Yeah, it might be the fact that nobody makes me mix CDs, so I don't any for them. God damn bastards wouldn't appreciate the effort anyway.

I make mixes all the time. CDs and computers make it easier, but I've been doing it since I can remember. These days I do fewer (Mix tapes job to MP3 CDs), but still do them. Plus, it's a cheap gift to give.
