I don't think it would be a brilliant idea if he showed up and was used as an attraction (like Jeff Hardy was), but I think if the guy signed up for ROH's school, took some classes under Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, he could debut as a solid act with a chance of getting over. I mean, the guy is not horrible in the ring. The other option is for Rene Dupree to go work in other independent promotions, hoping to get chances with IWA-MS, FIP and even PWG, until he impresses enough to be considered one of the "wet dreams" of the indie circuit. I guess there is Japan, as well. Rene Dupree is still really young, so I don't think it's fair to right him off as a failure, yet. And if he showed up in ROH, you are definitely right, he will get booed. I think there is hope for him to find a niche like Tank Toland did, though. |
