Don't get pumped up for Call of Duty 5 also, cause Infinity Ward (the company that made COD 2 and 4, the best ones) only puts out a game every two years, someone else makes the one in between. So COD 6 will prolly be jawsome.

So I got it five minutes ago.

Don't go straight to multi. All you'll be doing is boosting your opponents rank. Do a couple missions in single player.

God I love this game. I love the feeling of beating a mission after being stuck on it for ages.

Currently stuck on Heat, for the life of me I can't make it down the hill without getting completely wasted.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME

Played for about 8 hours straight yesterday, started to get familiar with the online maps, so am not dying so much now and the kill rate is going up.

Pretty safe to say I am improving with my class "Get Over Here" Skorpion with the ACOG scope, pretty consistent 15-18 kills a game

Big Vito I know, that mission is freaking ridiculous. gotta find different ways to go down, nah mean. think i went behind the barn thats on your left when you first start to go down the hill.

Yeah thats what I ended up doing...went down around the left. A lot less enemies there. I sprinted past a bunch of them and hid in the building on the bottom until the heli showed up.

I went on to beat the game today...just couldn't put it down. Gotta say the ending was pretty underwhelming...I mean the presentation was awesome but I feel like it should take more than one shot to kill the big boss.

Returned it today. Good game, but the UAV thing breaks the game somewhat and its not as realistic as I'd like it to be. Great game, though. Perhaps I'll jump back into it at a later date. Thanks for the one-up D'Mac.

What? UAV doesn't do shit really, and if you're good enough and playing with people you know you can pretty much keep the other team from getting a UAV for most of the game.

If you want realistic, play Team Hardcore. No HUD at all. It's just you and your gun. Mini-map shows up only if you get UAV. Thus if someone does an airstrike or gets a helicopter, you don't know where it is unless you have UAV. Likewise, it means people don't show up on map simply from firing a gun. There are no grenade indicators either. You have to pay attention to the noise they make, or see where they land and get the hell out of the way. Weapons do more damage as well. You can setup some weapons (the G3, which is a single shot) to be one shot kills. Just means you have to actually be a good shot.

The game is plenty realistic if you actually give it a shot.

I also once played against a team that ALL had UAV Jammer. It was pretty hardcore. Just completely random and the entire team was made up of all people in a party, and our team got shit on because it was a bunch of randoms.

Listen, I know everybody on my friendlist is on the thing 24/7, but 3hrs in the game and I found Live multiplayer to be a different flavor than I usually get into. I am on no fighting in the war room on veteran. I did that training thing 3 or 4 times and it said veteran, I thought what the hell and started on veteran. Doesn't seem that hard tbh...

How is Vegas? Been considering getting it since COD has awoken an interest in FPS in me. Don't really like commanding a squad but I'm a mark for realism and environment visuals and Vegas seems good for that.
