Played a little bit of free for all last night. Got to lvl 5. Not bad so far. Some of the maps are ridiculous though, can never remember where I am.

Did get a 13 kill streak though

How many maps are there in total? I played a new one last night, shipment I think it was called, such a fast paced matched. One time I had a ridiculous kill/death rate of 54/60 in a 15 minute match.

To answer Blitz's question. It is way better than Vegas, and I was a god at R6: Vegas toward the end of my playing 'career' in it. Vegas had a lot of annoying glitches that unbalanced the game. Still a fun game, but nowhere near the fun that is CoD4.

Vegas was also pretty hard to be absolutely rape in it, but there was a huge gap in people that were bad and people that were good. I feel that in CoD4 there is a more balanced playing field, from those that just suck, to those who are alright, then getting better, and people who are just freaking amazing at the game. Which, IMO is a good thing. In Vegas, once you got the hang of a few of the game mechanics you could pretty much shit on anyone. In CoD4, there are less faulty game mechanics. I'm nowhere near as good in CoD4 as I was in R6:V, but I love the game so much more.

At the big x-box gaming center near here, all but like 3 or 4 people stopped playing Halo to play CoD4 now. Old players that had played the game since 1 came out, and used to worship the game have pretty much said "Halo 3 is dog shit compared to this game".

Don't own any consoles. All my experience comes from playing at game centers (in the past), or at friend's houses. That's probably part of the reason why I was better at R6 than I am at CoD4. I played R6 when there was a gaming center that my friend worked at, so I just went and hung out there and played whenever I wanted.. which was pretty much all the time. Now though, there aren't any around close enough so I don't get a chance to play very often. Assuming I get this job, I should have a 360 after my first paycheck.

Trying to go through the game on Veteran, skipping Hardened completely. Big mistake.

Got through the first two missions easy.....but then in Charlie Don't Surf I died like 30 times in 10 minutes once I got to the huge two-floored room and gave up. Doesn't matter where I take cover, enemies pour out from all sides. I even tried hiding in a side room and they still found me.

Missed your return. Seeing our threads get shut down brings back fond memories...

I returned CoD4. I'd buy it again for a TPdub shootout, though. No game really hosted a set-up like that.
