I'm still holding onto hope they'll have Punk "miraculously" win the Royal Rumble, and then they run a program with Edge where he tells Punk that he can't possibly hope to beat him, he should go to RAW, because he has a much better chance with Jeff Hardy. You know, "You might be the next Edge, but I'm the real Edge," that kind of shit.

Edge defeats The Undertaker at No Way Out, because honestly, that feels like an NWO main event, rather than a WrestleMania one, and Edge basically asks Punk what makes him think he can beat Edge, when the legendary Undertaker couldn't. Punk does, however, maybe even introducing Ace Steel and Colt Cabana to cancel out Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. CM Punk wins his first World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania XXIV.
