Sniping isn't easier, it's just that now when you put the crosshair over someone, and pull the trigger, it hits them. You still have to zoom in, hold your breath, then line the crosshairs up. And you usally only have a second to do this if they know you're there.

Sure, you can get some easy kills on stationary targets, or people running through a wide open space like morons. But to get a high kill count takes skill. There is not a single spot in the game where a sniper can't be flanked, or countered in numerous ways.

A lot of people have an ego, and want to get "revenge" kills. Especially on snipers. So they lose their common sense. For example, I just went 36-4 on crash, and then 16-0 on crossfire. Not because I'm amazing. ALthough I am well above average, these guys just kept coming at me from the same direction. I killed the same guy 3 times within 2 minutes, because he kept going to the SAME spot to counter snipe me. Those games could easily have ended with me having far less kills if they just played smart.

So, some tips for you guys getting frustrated by snipers.

1. Never try and kill a sniper from the same spot twice. If you fail the first time, he'll be keeping an eye on that spot.

2. Learn to snipe yourself. Not saying to switch your play style. But if you learn to snipe, you can pick up a sniper rifle to replace your pistol in the field, and counter snipe when applicable. This is what I do when I feel like running and gunning.

3.Use smoke. Very surprised that not many people use this. On maps that involve a lot of sniping, always equip smoke so you can get to where you want without leaving yourself open.

I usually get a good k/d ratio, but if people are using good judgement, then the above mentioned scores rarely occur. And when I play against REALLY good players, its a struggle to maintain an even k/d ratio, cause as I said, I'm good but not amazing.

DS doesn't seem to have a problem racking up 40 kills, even against really good snipers. Maybe he can come in here and give some more hints.

Some Protips, if you will.
