MLB 2008 Season Thread

Mets now one game under .500.....what frustrates me more than anything is the fact that they clearly aren't even trying to field the best possible 25-Man roster.

Despite being down one outfielder (Ryan Church)...they are insistant on carrying three catchers. The only reason you would ever do that is if one of the catchers has injury problems or one of them is a really good hitter...well, for the Mets its the latter, Ramon Castro is their best hitting catcher by far, but its always the 3rd catcher who gets the PH appearances, not Castro.

And meanwhile...you have OF Chris Aguila and OF Valentino Pascucci hitting awesomely in Triple-A...but instead you call up IF Abraham Nunez who was hitting .133 in AAA before getting called up. The Mets only have two legit healthy outfielders right now (Beltran and Chavez)...they are playing an infielder in the OF every game.
