People are unjustly ragging on Bobby Lashley once again.
The man could talk, he could talk well, but its just that people have come to be pre disposed to the notion that a huge muscular guy should sound like some sort of gremlin. The matter of the TRUTH is that a lot of the guys make their voices sound a certain way, that is not actually the way their voice sounds. Bobby Lashley was just using his natural voice and I saw nothing wrong with that. He is a real life bad ass and the fact that he spoke softly does not calculate in my mind as some big bad flaw of his. I think it was an advantage, here was a guy who is unique. He is a physical monster, but unlike say Kane, or Big Show, he is not an, "RRRGH ME SMASH" monster, no, he was a calculating, intelligent man who was simply a good pure athlete. He wasn't suppose to be an evil monster to have some sort of unnatural scary voice. He was SUPPOSE to be a pure ATHLETE! I still think WWE screwed up by allowing the situation backstage to escalate into having Bobby Lashley leave. The man was one of the most definitive talents of this era and had the complete package and I saw great potential in him as a heel as well as the role he played as a face. I think all this Lashley criticism is unfounded and biased because people were unhappy with the "WWE pushing him too fast", when in fact, people were really upset at a simple change in the WWE. I hope Lashley one day returns to the WWE and gets treated properly because the man's skill on on par with the top of the youth of the company. |
