I thought the spoiler reports were too hard on this show, I thought it came across pretty good on TV.
When I read the BT stuff I thought it was really stupid because it sounded like they were intentionally trying to bury Smackdown, but after watching the way Kurt and the rest of the guys reacted I thought it worked well in making Booker T the ultimate heel on Smackdown. BT-Eddie was alright, but much like HHH on RAW Monday, it was obvious BT was having a tough time keeping up with Eddie. Hopefully after working on the road with Eddie, BT can get back to the top of his game. RVD on SD was good (they need another mid level main event guy), and he had his best match Ive seen form him in months. Hopefully the new surroundings means a new beginning for his career which has been largely wasted especially as of late. I wont hold my breath though. Charlie Haas looked good in the singles match, and they didn't kill him in his first solo match which is smart. Teddy Long is the F'N man, I love that guy, especially now that he represents the S-D. I think Rene Dupree has a future. Dudleys-Bashams was a typical Dudleys match, but even the Dudleys looked a little better than normal. I question the logic booking the only heel team on SD to lose like that though. Spike-Chavo was decent. Ive mentioned in another thread I was suprised how much I liked Brad$haw's promo. I dont know if he's going to be a viable main event hand, but anything can happen in the WWE right? So all in all a good show, especially considering a lot of the top guys didn't work (Mysterio, Cena, Show, Taker). |
