Patriots sign QB Matt Gutierrez from the practice squad and released WR C.J. Jones.

News of the day is that this may be Lane Kiffin's last day in Oakland. Old man Davis might be firing him on Monday.

I don't know much about his coaching but I like this Kiffin guy.

the Crypt keeper told him to resign in the offseason and kiffin said "no, I have a contract, you don't want me, fire me and pay me".

Now, with the comments Kiffin made this week, basiclly saying what everyone has known is Al Davis controls everything hands on... he'll end up getting fired and paid.
