I thought maybe he had failed a wellness test or something. Then I wouldn't laugh, but feel ridiculous empathy for Hardy because he has a serious problem. But instead it looks like nothing. But OK, I guess we can say goodbye to any hope Jeff had of winning the WWE Title. Putting the title on someone who makes a scene drunk at an airport isn't the wisest thing to do in these times.

According to an eyewitness, there was an incident shortly before 11 AM Wednesday morning at the Nashville International Airport involving WWE star Jeff Hardy, who was removed from his flight heading to North Carolina. Hardy, who was traveling with Gregory Helms and his brother Matt, was taken off his flight flanked by several police officers.

"Hardy wasn't in handcuffs, but he was clearly being 'escorted', said an eyewitness who asked not to be identified. "They weren't touching him though, but they had him flanked. He was wearing the same clothes he left the building in Tuesday night. Once they got him off the plane they allowed him to use his phone, before leading him away."

There were conflicting stories floating around among WWE performers following Wednesday's incident. At this point we are still looking to confirm exactly what the reason was that Hardy was removed from the plane and we don't want to speculate any further beyond that.

We can confirm Hardy was removed from his scheduled flight after boarding the plane and that the story had made its way around Titan Tower, where there was concern about his standing with the company. The story was a big topic of conversation among WWE's workers yesterday as well.

Calls made on Wednesday to the Nashville International Airport's Investigations department by PWInsider.com were not returned.

He was probably piss drunk and deemed not safe for him to be on the flight. They take alot of excessively drunk people off of flights these days, not because they are doing anything wrong per se, but just as a safety concern to them and the others around them.

I was really happy with my performance and win Tuesday night in Nashville against Mike Knox. Thanks to all my MFers in Nashville that were in my corner that night-I appreciate ya! I actually thought the entire broadcast of ECW of Sci-Fi was a really strong show. I like that and want that every week. I truly due take pride in my ECW brand-especially considering the fact I'm currently one of the biggest representatives as the brand's champion.

Afterwards, I had a nice celebratory dinner and some good fellowship with some of WWE friends. I also had the best breakfast sandwich ever in the Nashville airport Wednesday morning. I then took the nice, easy flight back over to Raleigh, and was back home before I knew it. That evening, myself, Jeff, and Beth had the best Japanese hibachi and sushi ever. Everything is good. Jeff and I will see you guys and gals Sunday in Columbus. Be well my friends!

WWE Wrestler Jeff Hardy was denied boarding a Southwest Airline flight to North Carolina – and no one got body slammed.

Hardy appeared intoxicated at Nashville International Airport's Southwest gate on Wednesday, according to Southwest spokesman Chris Mainz.

A Southwest employee reported it and Hardy was told he couldn’t board the flight, Mainz says.

Hardy was not arrested instead the wrestler was offered to take a later flight.

“He was very cooperative and there was no altercation,” Mainz says. “There was no need to get police.”

Hardy declined Southwest’s offer and made other arrangements, Mainz says.

The 6-1, 225-pound Cameron, N.C., native was part of the WWE SmackDown show at the Sommet Center on Tuesday night.

Hardy is a top contender and a WWE draw.

IMO if this wasn't Jeff Hardy would anyone really give a shit? I know with his fuck-ups in the past he needs to keep clear of this stuff, but really.

Take Ric Flair for example. How many time do you think he turned up for a plane flight drunk. Or JBL. or Austin. Or practlcally anyone one else.

I'm by far not the biggest Hardy fan in the world but seriously, give the guy a break.

He'll eventually fuck up. Don't worry about that.

I honestly hope it happens while he's champion and they have to deal with firing their champion. He should be NO WHERE near the title in this day and age.
