Ed Brubaker's run on Captain America,has been one of the best runs on any comic ever.

Secret Ivasion is obviously a must read. Real good stuff. I like the marvel crossovers better than the DC ones, just because there is just way too much shit happening all at once in all the Crisis events. It's not that I lack the intelligence to follow it, I just feel it's better when they keep everything simpler, as it allows for a better focus on the characters themselves. Identity Crisis was actually like that, and I like it better than the other DC crossovers.

Th relaunches of Thor and Hulk are both good.

As for X-books. Cable is really good too, but you'll have to read Messiah Complex first. The new x-force is pretty kick-ass. Basically, wolverine leads a team of stealth operatives(x-23, warpath, wolfsbane) that perform missions without the "x-men don't kill" moral code.

Also, you def need to read The Boys.
