Does the animation have to be so... ? This is my problem with the MK series sense Deception: the animation, particularly recovery animations, is lazy. Lazy, lazy LAZY. But I would get MK an engine revision. All the special moves and violence and juggles could stay, but I would not let a 10 year old animation style pass, I have too much respect for myself for my name to be credited on a game with that kind of movement.

I can honestly say I dont care how they get up or they move, but I'm not a hardcore fighter fan either. I only play MKs really. That vid looked awesome btw.

It just frustrates me to know end. Bad animation is a pet peeve for me and takes me out of a game.

I'm the kind of guy who REALLY doesn't care about graphics. I say this once every two monthes, but I still play Pong. It's fun. And that all I'm after. Give me a good time, whether it be from challenging puzzles, fun worlds to explore, or just some heads to bash in. Make it fun and you've made me happy.

Its been revealed that, amongst a long list of other changes to go from an "M" rating to the much easier to market and sell "T" rating, the Joker's fatality in MK vs DC has been changed and now the actually shooting occurs off screen. He still pulls out his gun and has the "BANG" sign come out, but there will be an abrupt camera jerk to take the action off screen and have the Joker do the deed to the poor sap away from our innocent eyes.

Apparently this is one part DC wanting to not "tarnish" their characters too much in this version, as well as Midway wanting to actually sell some copies, as the series has become rather disappointing in terms of sales in recent years and this is basically boiling down to a publicity stunt to move as many games as possible.

MK in general gets old really fast, but a cheap thrill it is. I won't be paying $60 for it, though - and shame on whoever does. Midway hasn't produced anything worth $60 yet.

Got it.

There's no balance, matches range from stupidly easy to cheap as hell, the bonus for getting the first hit is too large, it's glitchy as fuck, Breakers are pointless and on the hardest skill level the final boss was defeated with one button...

Why can I not stop playing it though?

From what ive been reading jokers gun fatality is only censored for the american version. Which seems stange.

No it doesn't. It is not strange that the country where 8 year olds are killing themselves with uzis at carnivals should start taking steps to censor gun use in popular media. I am not a "the video game made me do it" kind of person by any stretch of the imagination, but if there's any country on the planet where it might be justified to do that sort of thing, it would be America. Yeah, that's definitely more of a "we can make more money by appealing towards a broader audience" move than a "dear God we've got to clean up our act" move.
